In Ancient Greece, Orion had a hero cult in the region of Boeotia. Hyria, the most frequently mentioned, was in the territory of Tanagra. A feast of Orion was held at Tanagra as late as the Roman Empire. They had a tomb of Orion, most likely at the foot of Mount Cerycius (now Mount Tanagra).
