Meaning:*
This name derives from the Proto-Slavic “*duša,” Old East Slavic “duša / dousha ‎(доуша / душа),” meaning “soul, spirit (the spirit or essence of a person that is believed to live on after the person’s death).” The feast day, for the faithful of the Eastern Churches, is celebrated on the 1 November, also known as All Saints. This is done in memory of St. Stephen Uros IV Dusan, Emperor of Serbia and Romania, and also his wife, Helen. It can also be celebrated on 2 December.
