In turn, the name means “golden flower, brilliant and precious flower-like gold that glitters in the light.” 1) Saints Chrysanthus and Daria are saints of the Early Christian period. Their names appear in the Martyrologium Hieronymianum, an early martyr’s list, and a church was built in their honor over their reputed burial place in Rome. 2) Chrysanthus was the name of a vicarious of Roman Britain, probably in the period 395-406. Little is known about his governorship, except that he probably served under the emperor Honorius. 3) Chrysanthos Sisinis (born 1857) was a Greek Army general.
