The name appears once in the Bible, in 1 Corinthians 1:11, in the context of “the house of Chloe.” In Northern Ireland, Chloe was one of the most popular names for newborns from 1997 to 2002, followed by Emma in 2003. It was also one of the most popular girl’s names throughout the UK for the seven years preceding 2002. In 2013 Chloe was the fourth most popular name for girls in Australia.
