In turn, the meaning is “favored by God, dear to God.” Bogomil was a Bulgarian monk who lived in the tenth century. He promoted the revolt of the Bogomils, a medieval skeptical movement, which began around the third decade of the tenth century, in Bulgaria, which saw its peak in the 10th, 11th-centuries.
