aghat'oklia

This name derives from the Ancient Greek “Agathoklês ‎(Ἀγαθοκλῆς),” composed of two elements: “agathòs (ἀγαθὸς)” (right, brave, noble, moral, fortunate, lucky) plus “kléos (κλέος)” (rumor, report, good report, fame, glory). In turn, the name means “known for goodness, glorious person, known for goodness, and goodness is glorious.” 1) Agathocles was a Greek Prince who was of Macedonian and Thessalian descent. He was the son born to the Diodochus Lysimachus from his first wife, the Queen consort, Nicaea, a daughter of the powerful regent Antipater. His full-blooded siblings were his younger sisters: Eurydice and Arsinoe I. 2) Agathocles was a Greek historian who wrote a history of Cyzicus in the Ionic dialect.
